Destiny 2 lfg1/20/2024 ![]() ![]() That certainly is a risk.ĭMG: Iron Banner as an example, many show up for the sweet loot & pinnacles from bounties. So I can see Legend being potentially bogged down with Normal-level players just trying to be carried. But when I switched the Legend, despite the higher difficulty I found that things went much faster, given that this was a tier of players really trying to efficiently get through the activity, playing the objective and bringing the right loadouts. When I was doing my absurdly long Dares of Eternity grind for the void sword, I felt on normal difficulty I was practically the only person playing the objective as everyone else was just running around farming enemies or…dying a lot. Even if we had a relatively simple intro quest handholding some through the mechanics of endgame content, it's not a guarantee that they'll memorize them. Others could just walk around shooting things and ignoring objectives. Many could become easily frustrated and quit out if an activity is taking too long. ![]() The thing is, there's a massive community of players out there who don't know these tricks or even have great loot to take on the challenge. No anti-barrier? Fine - will just burn things down quick with a Sleeper thanks to Particle Deconstruction. If locked loadouts are a main problem for Legend level matchmaking then maybe…don’t have it? Keep it for Master and Grandmaster, but Legend? Just get rid of it, who cares?ĭMG: I know there will be an onslaught of comments noting that this activity feels "easy" - I agree after thousands of hours in D2 and knowing the sandbox like the back of my hand. I know what it’s trying to accomplish, but I don’t really think it’s a good way of increasing difficulty. You know what I find not terribly compelling in general in Destiny 2? Locked loadouts. Would be pretty awkward to have 6 players matchmake into a Legend dares run, none of which have an anti-barrier mod equipped or arc-shields for those pesky harpies. While many of us on this subreddit are highly proficient in crafting loadouts and understanding what needs to be equipped before launching in, many players need the LFG component so party leaders can walk them through what mods to equip and what steps would be key to success in the long run. DMG: Locked loadouts can be tricky business. ![]()
